This is written in loving memory of Ron Nadig, who left us eleven years ago. His spirit continues to guide and shape our lives every day.
In Loving Memory
Francis “Ron” Nadig, of Stockton, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 20, 2014 at home.

He was born July 23, 1940 — the son of Arthur and Betty (Kupersmith) Nadig.
A proud graduate of Stockton High School, Class of 1958, he went on to attend UW Madison, where he took the farm short course. Later, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Husbandry from the University of Wyoming.
The Cowboy in Wyoming
Cattle ranching was his lifelong calling — he worked the Nadig family farm all of his life and was well known as a dedicated cattle dealer. During his college years, he spent time as a cowboy near Sheridan, Wyoming, working at Freeze Out Point in the Little Bighorn Mountains, and experience that reflected his deep love for the land and cowboy lifestyle.

He found great joy in ranching cattle, riding horses, and taking in the rugged beauty of the Wyoming landscape.

Faith, Family, and Football
He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Stockton, IL.
In the mid-1970s, he fulfilled another lifelong dream by earning his pilot’s license, spending many hours in the sky exploring from above.
In his later years, Ron remained passionate about the things he loved most — cheering on the Stockton Blackhawks, rooting for the Chicago Bears (even when the games didn’t go their way), and spending peaceful days on Nadig Farms with his loyal Blue Heeler, Charlie, by his side.
But above all, what meant the most to him was time shared with his children and grandchildren, whose laughter and presence brought him endless joy and happiness.
