Honest Farming, Quality Beef

How We Raise Our Cattle

All of our cattle are born and raised right here on our farm in Northern Illinois. They start their lives on pasture, where they roam green hills and graze on fresh grass.

As they grow, we introduce sileage (a mixture of alfalfa, corn, and wheat) into their balanced diet to help them finish strong and produce flavorful, tender beef.

We care for our cattle ourselves, every step of the way. It’s a simple, honest way of doing things — and it’s how we’ve done it since 1870.

100% Grass-Fed on Request

Our beef is not 100% grass-fed. However, for customers who prefer 100% grass-fed beef, we’re happy to offer it upon request.
